Jared’s comes from a family of union workers. Jared’s father, grandfather, and uncles were all members of the Local United Automobile Workers 440 when they worked at GM Powertrain in Bedford. We need to fight at the Statehouse for our union workers. Because of unions like the UAW, Jared was able to be among the first generation in his family to graduate college.
Republicans in the Indiana Statehouse are seeking to eliminate the union workforce, preventing workers from collectively bargaining for fair wages and benefits. Jared is proof that unions are not only important for workers, but also for their children. From repealing the construction common wage, which decreased wages among construction workers to passing “Right to Work” laws, Indiana’s unions are under threat. Jared will fight to secure the rights of unions at the Statehouse.
